Version 20 September 2026 — operational draft pending final legal review.
1. Scope
This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage on HD Online. Our approach follows Swiss data-protection and telecommunications requirements and, where applicable, the EU ePrivacy rules and GDPR. We currently use no advertising pixels or behavioural advertising trackers. Google Analytics is the only optional analytics technology planned for the public website.
2. Necessary cookies
- HDOnlineSession: maintains login, security and page state; expires when the browser session ends.
- csrfToken: protects forms against cross-site request forgery; session or short-lived security cookie.
- hd_locale: remembers the selected language; up to one year.
- hd_cookie_consent: records whether optional analytics was accepted or rejected; six months.
These cookies are required to provide a service you request or to secure the platform. Rejecting analytics does not disable them.
3. Google Analytics
With your prior consent, Google Analytics may measure page views, sessions, approximate location, browser/device information and interactions so that we can understand and improve the public website. The standard GA4 cookies are _ga and _ga_<container-id>, each normally lasting up to two years unless deleted earlier. We configure analytics without advertising personalisation and do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers or free-text form content to Google Analytics.
4. Consent and withdrawal
Analytics is not loaded until you select “Accept analytics”. “Necessary only” is equally prominent and the site remains usable. You can change your choice at any time through “Cookie preferences” in the footer. Withdrawal applies for the future; HD Online then signals denial and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies from this domain. You may also delete cookies or block them in your browser.
5. Google and international processing
Google may process analytics information in several countries. Where relevant, transfers are covered by the provider’s contractual and recognised transfer safeguards. Details of Google’s current processing and retention settings are available in Google’s Analytics privacy documentation. HD Online reviews its Analytics configuration and keeps user/event retention proportionate.
6. Changes and contact
If another non-essential tracking technology is introduced, this policy and the consent interface must be updated before activation. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
